Bob Johnson, PE

Bob JohnsonBob Johnson has spent his entire civil engineering career serving the citizens of the North Texas Metroplex. He has more than 30 years experience, 26 years of with public agencies and 4 years as a consultant working on public works infrastructure. Bob has served in multiple roles including as a design engineer, contracts engineer, design manager, construction engineer, project manager, and executive. Bob’s experience includes working with virtually every phase of infrastructure life cycle, including studies, planning, alternatives evaluation, preliminary design, property acquisition, project design, development of specifications and contract documents, construction management, asset management, and project closeout.

Bob began his career working with the Texas Department of Transportation working on roadways and drainage facilities, performing roadway and drainage design and providing utility coordination services. Bob then spent more than 25 years working with the City of Dallas Water Utilities Department (DWU). His experience with DWU included working in all areas of municipal water and wastewater studies, design, construction management, budget development, master plan development, and utility executive management, including serving as the department director. His duties included developing retail and wholesale water and wastewater rates, department budgets, management of revenue bond sales and capital improvement planning.

He has worked as a member of a private consulting firm where his public sector experience has allowed him to continue serving municipal agencies as a project manager for water & sewer infrastructure projects. His long tenure and experience in all areas of municipal civil engineering, asset management, and infrastructure operations provide him with the skills needed to provide outstanding service to municipalities, water utilities, and public agencies.
